JL Masters is an independent team designed to work for you. Captive Agents can only offer you options from a single insurance carrier. Their success depends on pleasing the company they work for. We are “independent” which means we don’t work for any healthcare entity, we work for our clients. We compare plans from multiple carriers in your area and evaluate them based on your specific priorities and needs to ensure that you get the best option for you. We don’t care what product you choose. What matters is that you are satisfied year after year. When our client relationships are strong so is our business. A truly fulfilling win win!
How we get paid
A common question we get is, “If you don’t charge me for all this work you are doing, how do you get paid?” The short answer is that we get paid by whatever Insurance company you get your health plan from.
Independent Brokers/Agents are paid a commission by the various companies they represent, and that commission is prebuilt into the cost of each policy. The rate you pay for your insurance plan is the same, whether or not you use a broker. If the plan costs $20 a month, it will cost $20 a month whether you use a broker or not. When you enroll directly with the insurance carrier, they keep that commission money for themselves, rather than offering a discount.
This means that using an independent broker gives you access to above-and-beyond service that the insurance company won’t offer themselves, an unbiased expert analysis of ALL of your options rather than just the ones provided by a single company, and you can take advantage of these perks at no cost to you. A pretty sweet deal.

The People Person. A super outgoing personality and a long history of sales experience makes me great at client care. I love getting to know the needs and dreams of my clients and nurturing a long term bond. I want to ensure people are well taken care of; body, heart ,and mind. Many clients come to me confused, worried and exhausted but they leave relieved knowing they have someone who cares in their corner.
